What is the RLX and do I need one for my Subaru STI Manual (2002-2008)?
The RLX is an upgraded reverse lockout system which replaces the OEM reverse lockout. The RLX features an adjustable lever allowing for a more comfortable engagement of reverse gear. Although the RLX is a fantastic upgrade over the plastic reverse lockout and to your shifting experience, it is not required to run a Likewise shifter. At a minimum, all you need to run a Likewise shifter in a single Subaru STI Manual (2002-2008) is a M12x1.25mm Thread Adapter.
